Friend Referral Program: To encourage more people to participate in the amazing game of hockey, CSB is initiating a Friend Referral Program that will provide benefits to players and families that help bring new players to CSB. For each successful referral with full registration to the current season of hockey, each family will receive a 20% discount on your child’s registration for that year. The program rules are as follows:
We know that you all are key to our success as a community and volunteer-led program. Thank you in advance for sharing your love of our program and the game with your friends.
Dust the Rust: CSB will be holding pre-season warmup skates for 10U players that are interested during the week of September 18, 2023 (Note: this is an additional option during registration).
Evaluations: CSB Evaluations will be held for 10U, 12U, and 14U Players on September 26 - 28, 2023. (Dates subject to change). These evaluations will be used to assess player skill levels and team placement (ie: Tier2, Tier3, or Tier4).
Playoff Commitment: VSAHA State Championship Weekend dates are still to be announced. 10U+ Players and Families are reminded to keep this weekend (which falls during school winter vacation) free on the calendar in the event that their team advances. It's extremely difficult on the teams and players if they need to compete for the State Championship with a short bench. Thanks!
12U & 14U Hawk2Hawk Hockey Camp: We are very excited to announce a four-day hockey camp that will take place for our 12U & 14U age levels during the week prior to player evaluations and in lieu of Dust the Rust for these age groups. The coaching staff from the CVU Boys and Girls Hockey Teams will be running the camps and we think this provides a great opportunity for players to get ready for evaluations and to gain some exposure to high school hockey. The camp will cost $65 per player and run on September 18 - 21. 2023.
12U and 14U players will be able to sign up for the Hawk2Hawk Hockey Camp in the normal registration process.
Optional Skills Program
The Board is pleased to announce the start of an optional skills development program for CSB players in the 10U and older age groups. The current plan for this program is to offer once-a-week skills training to players in the 10U, 12U, and 14U age groups from November through the end of the regular season.
These sessions, run by Meghan Sweezey of Girls 4 Hockey along with 5-6 other coaches and a goalie coach, will be optional and players will be able to register for this program for an additional $200 during registration for the 2023-24 season. The actual number of sessions and groupings of players will be determined based on actual registration numbers and partial refunds may be issued if we have to reduce the frequency of these sessions due to ice availability or extremely high demand for the program. More information regarding this program will be available in the registration process.
Financial Assistance/Scholarships: CSB Youth Hockey is committed to ensuring that all children that want to play hockey are able to regardless of financial means. CSB offers financial assistance/scholarships to families that require it. Families seeking financial assistance should complete the CSB Scholarship Application and email it to president@csbhockey.com.
